Athlete of the Month
Congratulations to Jack Lantz for being our June Athlete of the Month. Jack is a 3rd grader at Cottonwood Creek Elementary in Englewood, soon to be a 4th grader and his favorite subject is math.
Outside of school, Jack participates in lacrosse, football, tennis, golf and skiing. Other than sports, in Jack’s spare time, he also likes to play video games, legos, play with his friends and loves going on trips with his family.
We asked Jack how the Youth Sports Performance classes at Sterling’s Team Speed have made a difference in his training and here’s what he said. “Team Speed has helped me with a lot of my skills. I feel like it helped with conditioning and I feel faster and stronger.” We also asked Jack what he liked about Sterling’s Team Speed and he said, “I like that the coaches are encouraging!”
Just for fun, we also asked Jack if he knows where he’d like to go to college yet and if he knows what he wants to be when he grows up. Jack isn’t sure yet what he wants to be when he grows up, which is fine, he’s only 9! But Jack thinks he wants to go to DU. Once you get there Jack, you can figure out what you want to be later.
At the end of all our athlete questions, we always ask if there’s anything else the athlete would like to share. This time is only different because Jack’s mom wanted to share with us a bit more about her son. Here’s what she had to say, “Jack works hard at school and is a great big bother to his younger sister. And, his favorite place to be is at the beach.”
Way to go, Jack! Congratulations again from your friends at Sterling’s Team Speed!
